How to salt sliced cucumber
Wash and Slice: Wash the cucumbers thoroughly and slice them evenly (thin or thick, depending on your preference).
Sprinkle Salt: Spread the slices in a bowl or colander and sprinkle them with a generous pinch of salt. Use about ½ to 1 teaspoon of salt for every two cucumbers, depending on your taste.
Toss and Rest: Toss the slices gently to distribute the salt evenly. Let them sit for 15–30 minutes. The salt will draw out the excess moisture.
Drain: After resting, you’ll notice water pooling at the bottom. Drain the liquid, or gently press the cucumbers with a clean cloth or paper towel to remove more moisture if needed.
Rinse (Optional): If you’re concerned about the cucumbers being too salty, rinse them briefly under cold water and pat them dry.
