2. Properties of cinnamon
Cinnamon has a warm, sweet and spicy taste that can cure many diseases such as: stomachache, menstrual cramps, flu, typhoid, etc. The older the cinnamon, the higher the essential oil content. On average, from planting to harvesting, it takes 10 years for cinnamon to be used as a spice and at least 20 years for cinnamon to be used as medicine.

Cinnamon contains two compounds, cinnamaldehyde and eugenol, which are antioxidants. These two substances have pain-relieving effects and limit cell aging, so they are also used for beauty purposes. In addition to its medicinal, cosmetic and spice uses, cinnamon also has great significance in religion. Hindus consider cinnamon trees to be the tree of the gods and are often offered to the gods during festivals. Hindus use cinnamon powder mixed with water to bathe Buddha statues to ward off and wash away bad luck. In Buddhism, cinnamon is mixed with other ingredients to make incense used in temples to ward off evil spirits.
