On April 10, Hagimex officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for its second processing factory in Phu Tho Province, marking an important milestone in the company’s long-term growth strategy and commitment to expanding global supply capacity.

The project covers an area of approximately 13 hectares with a total investment of around VND 230 billion. Once fully operational, the new facility is expected to significantly enhance Hagimex’s production capabilities, increase processing efficiency, and support the growing demand from domestic and international markets.

Expanding Production Capacity for Key Products

The new factory will focus on processing a wide range of fruits and vegetables, including Hagimex’s core export products such as:

• Canned lychee
• Canned pineapple
• Pickled cucumbers
• Sliced cucumbers
• Mango
• Other processed agricultural products

Notably, Hagimex is already one of Vietnam’s leading producers of canned lychee, with raw material capacity of approximately 5,000 tons per year. Canned pineapple also reaches a similar scale, while pickled and sliced cucumber products contribute around 2,000 tons of raw materials annually.

The project also includes plans to expand into frozen fruit and vegetable products, a fast-growing segment in global markets. This strategic direction will help improve deep-processing capacity, extend shelf life, and create higher export value.

Strengthening Sustainable Supply Chains

To ensure stable raw material sourcing, Hagimex continues to work closely with farming areas in Bac Ninh, Ninh Binh, Son La, and other key agricultural regions. At the same time, the company is expanding development plans in Phu Tho and surrounding areas, focusing on products such as oranges, sugarcane, pomelo, and other local specialties.

By building strong partnerships with farmers and investing in long-term sourcing strategies, Hagimex aims to create a sustainable value chain from cultivation to processing and export.

Serving Global Markets

Hagimex has built stable customer networks across multiple international markets, including the United States, Europe, Australia, and Korea. These markets require high standards in food safety, product consistency, and supply reliability — values that Hagimex continues to prioritize in every stage of production.

The new factory represents another step forward in supporting international buyers with larger capacity, stable supply, and diversified product solutions.
